The Oneida County Truancy Reduction Task Force is a collaboration of local governmental, school districts, family-serving agencies and institutions committed to improving school attendance and reducing truancy to improve life outcomes for our youth.
2009 – Rhinelander School District begins Check and Connect Campaign for students Kindergarten – 5th Grade
- May 2009 – The Oneida County Truancy Task Force had its first meeting. Task Force Members include: Oneida County Circuit Court Judges, Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Oneida County District Attorney, Oneida County Corporation Counsel, Oneida County Social Services, Rhinelander School District, Three Lakes School District, The YMCA of the Northwoods, Options Treatments Programs, Inc., Three Lakes Police Department.
- November 2009 – Sheriff’s Office receives grant to begin after school Report Center and assessment/counseling services
- February 2010 - Report Center opens at Rhinelander High School
- October 2010 - Report Center opens at Lakeland Union High School
